However, no interior lighting power calculation for these spaces have been submitted. Section C405.5.2 requires that these spaces not exceed a maximum lighting power based on either the "Building Area Method" or the "Space by Space Method.” In the resubmission, include a signed and stamped interior lighting COMcheck on a full size sheet in the drawings that accounts for all lighting, new and existing, in the corridors, elevator lobbies, seating areas and other non-hotel room areas that are part of the permit submission. The COMcheck must compare the design to the 2012 IECC and it may use either the space by space method or the building area method. The COMcheck lighting power allowance must be based only on the square footage of only the corridors, elevator lobbies, seating areas and other non-hotel room areas that are part of the permit submission.
